7 Reasons Why I’m Optimistic About 2021
7 Reasons Why I‘m Optimistic About 2021
After what many has deemed one of the most traumatic years in modern American History, we've finally arrived to what many feel could be our new beginning. The New Year, 2021! And, if you are like me, every new year you make resolutions and promises to yourself. Optimistic ideas for the future.
Here's a few reasons why I feel optimistic about 2021:
1. I've put out good energy in 2020. It's coming back to me in 2021.
I'm a firm believer of Karma. What you put out into the universe is what you get back. And in 2020, I put out lots of love and positivity in my life. I focused that attention on the people who were important to me. Those who made an impact in my life. And even more importantly to those whose life I positively impacted as well.
I am looking forward to all that love and positivity coming back to me in 2021.
2. Crowds are coming back to live events.
One of the hardest parts of the pandemic for me was when they announced we will no longer have live sports! No more beers and food at the game with the boys. It’s was tough.
But now things are looking up as sporting events are starting to let smaller crowds back into their arenas. I can't help but feel hopeful that by mid-2021, arenas will be full of cheering fans and all will feel right with the world.
3. I've learned a lot about what's important to me this past year.
I don't know about you, but being stuck at home gave me a lot of time to think. I thought about what's really important to me and what things that I've been holding onto that aren't right for me right now.
Whether it's people, values, or things as fundamental as self identity. I learned a lot about who I am and who I want to become!
Use what you've learned going into 2021 and develop the life that you want to see.
4. Finally a Vaccine!
The vaccine being federally approved is proof that we're making progress to get past one of the most deadliest viruses we've seen in years. This is great news!
With communities immune to the virus and maintaining the COVID-19 guidelines, it gives me hope that we’ll soon be past these days of social distancing.
5. Stocks have recovered and are reaching new highs.
When the pandemic first hit the country, many people, me included, who held stocks were in a panic. Stock prices tanked quickly and it wasn't known if and, when they would recover.
But within 9 months, not only had stocks recovered from the initial impact of the pandemic, they were reaching new highs. So if there's any reason to be optimistic, it's that our investments and retirements plans are getting stronger than ever!
6. Paradigm shifts are happening in how we use Tech
The introduction of Instagram Reels, the popularity of TikTok, the overwhelming boom in Online Shopping over the past year.
In 2020, we saw Celebrities performing concerts, and TV Personalities holding guest interviews, from their living rooms!
Thousand of people who were once working in an office building are now working from their home office.
It's clear that things are changing. And that old trends are on the way out, making way for new trends to take their place.
7. I am here writing this blog!
So we made it through 2020! What's next?
2021 marks the beginning of a New Year. A new opportunity to do whatever we'd like to do with it. Why not make this new year a year of personal transformation. I certainly will!
